MTNSOS Jam Camp is Transylvania County’s annual mountain music event for kids.
Here’s what you can expect:
Camps are led by some of the best traditional players and teachers in the area.
❋ Expert teachers
Playing together is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from jamming with other kids as from the sessions.
❋ Peer learning
Students with have the opportunity to try many different mountain instruments, like upright bass, banjo, and autoharp.
❋ Exploration
Meals are graciously provided by Transylvania County Schools.

FAQs
Do you already have to know how to play an instrument?

Nope! We welcome total beginners, and pair them with a specific counsellor to guide them at their pace. By the end of the week, they’ll be playing an instrument.
Do you need your own instrument?

Nope, we’ll have plenty of instruments for students to play and take home over the week.
Can students attend both camps?
