We're always looking for players who want to pass this great tradition to the next generation.
Mountain School of Strings hires string teachers in traditional mountain music to lead free classes for students ages 8–18 in Transylvania County.
As a MTNSOS teacher, you’d be in a classroom once a week with a coteacher and 10-20+ students. One teacher on fiddle, and one teacher on fretted.
What we provide
Competitive compensation, paid every two weeks as a 1099 contractor.
Free loaner instruments for students.
Class roster, schedule, and venue already in place.
What we ask
Proficiency in at least one of the following instruments: Fiddle, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Bass, Autoharp.

Commitment to the full term. (12-18 weeks in the Fall and 12-18 weeks in the Spring)
